this happened in our area about 10 years ago. A farmer moved away quickly & left all his animals behind to fend for themselves. The cats came down to my grandparents farm where they were taken care of. However, the dogs took off & formed a wild pack that lived in the woods. They soon began attacking the sheep in the area. It was a very scary time in which kids & pets weren't allowed out after dark. The farmers got together & formed a posse & took care of the pack of dogs. It was very sad that the dogs had to go through that, but there was nothing else to be done.
