How sad, I hope this baby gets found and is okay. As far as threatening to sue, I agree (especially w/airlines) wouldn't be very effective. At best, you might get the money back, but the real issue here is the welfare of the dog, and no money would ever alleviate your worries over that. I was fortunate enough to find a breeder close by, so flying was not a consideration for us. I would have been hesitant to want a dog to fly, for this very reason.
