My husband's aunt and uncle raised puppies several years ago. They are some of the best christian people that I know and their dogs were very well taken care of. They got out of the business when hatred for puppy mills got really bad and the bottom dropped out of the market. Everything was nice and clean and well taken care of, including the dogs.
Most people don't feed their dogs food with maggots in it and they make sure that their dogs are well taken care of. I live in puppy mill country and I've never seen or heard of anything like that video. I'm not going to say that raising several different breeds is an ideal situation, but what I'm saying is, don't judge everyone who raises puppies by what you saw on the video. |
That actually isn't the worst of the worst...The breeder I buy from has 5 breeding yorkies and 15 rotties....she is a BREEDER as your Aunt and Uncle were not a "Puppy Mill" I feel bad that they felt they had to close their business..But as you could see from this video this is what a "Puppy Mill" is...the animals in the Mills are kept in very unhealthy conditions and don't get the health care or attention that dogs from a breeder get. Believe me.....This video was mild....Their are some pretty graphic and horrific videos out there...Not all Puppy Mills HAVE to be discustingly filthy...But, Just because they are clean doesn't mean that over breeding a female until she just can't breed anymore is ok either. I don't know how long you have been a YT member but, Villette is one of the nicest, most helpful people on here...She would never judge anyone on here...She, like most of us here, really love animals and would like to see Puppy Mills closed.
