I couldn't watch the whole thing, especially after I saw the awful condition of the dogs. It's so sad that these dogs have to live in such awful conditions. What I find so hard to understand is how the owners can look at these dogs and not feel sick themselves. How can someone do this to any living thing?

Maybe one way to limit the exploitation of these dogs would be to work toward preventing pet shops from selling them. If other countries can do that, why not the US? Recently a bill was passed to protect animals that need to be rescued, as in disasters like Katrina. There are many more animals that need rescuing that are now in pet shops throughout the country.

What also concerns me is what happens to the pet shop dogs that are not sold. How long do they keep them in those tiny cages? Sure, it appears that they are in clean conditions (from the outside) but what's the real story when the doors are closed? They need personal, caring attention which I'm sure they don't receive!
