Yorkie Baby Ears I watched the breeder put the tape on. She used regular masking tape and gently folded each ear like a cone. Not too tight.....and put a piece of tape on each ear. She then took a piece of tape several inches long and attached it in the back from one ear to the next to make a bridge that held them straight up. We were to leave it on two days...which we did. Taylors ears stood straight up for a week but then fell. He was only 9 weeks old....he is now 3 months old and one ear is standing on it's own. We are going to do the tape thing again but I only have paper tape which doesn't stick well...so I'll have to pick up some masking tape. The vet suggested that we give him a tablespoon of cottage cheese a day for a while. We started that several days ago and that is when his right ear began to stand. Good luck. |
