Karen, when you first start brushing, give a small treat (like a cheerio), then another after different steps (back legs...then treat....torso, then treat....front legs....etc!
)
They learn surprisingly fast
, and then after awhile, if you want, you can spread the treats further and further out. Mine still don't like getting brushed, but it's not a battle, and they're ready for their treat at the end!
