Hello yorkie friends. I took my baby to the vet this morning and he said he's going to be just fine. Vet said it wasn't too bad, but that people don't realize how sensitive our little ones foot pads are-which of course was enough to make me start balling!
He said I need to be extra careful when it's hot. He said that the foot pads will regenerate...just to watch him and make sure he's not licking them because it can cause infection. It was just the top layer on one foot that peeled. Louie seems okay, he's just a little moppy today. Vet suggested shoes for him, but I bought some and he hated them...wouldn't let me put them on. So, he said baby socks...like the ones they sell at old navy or the gap with the rubber grip on the bottom. We have bbq's all the time and people come over to the pool and he loves being outside with everyone so I don't want to isolate him when we have gatherings. So, I will try the socks...
