Mine hates me trimming her nails, sometimes she's ok and sometimes I can't go near them. What have found to be great is I get a greenie and put peanut butter on it and my husband holds it so she can lick the peanut butter off while I clip her nails. You could obviously use anything to put the peanut butter on or even something besides p-nut butter, I like it though because she just licks it so it takes her a bit to eat it all. It might be worth a shot at least until she gets a little better. Or get a special treat and give it to her when you are finished brushing her and only then, then she will know when you start brushing her afterwards she's going to get that something special, this may work also.
