 When is typical first heat?
We want to have Bailey spayed before her first heat. But we want to wait as long as possible, though - just for her to get as big as possible before the surgery. She's not tiny - weighs 3lb 8oz at 14 weeks - but I'm guessing every possible additional ounce would be beneficial. We've been planning to scheduling her for some time around her 5 month birthday, but if it would be pretty safe to wait another month I'd feel a lot better about it. |
