I have the same issue. I figure time will solve the problem. I too come home at lunch--delited to see a dry towel and crate but usually by the time I get home at 5 she has peed and pooped and trampled all over it--uuuughhh!! I tried a play pen too but she too chewed up the pad and peed and pooped on the floor and then it was difficult to clean up my floor ( has lots of groves etc in it) so I decided to just go back to the crate and coming home to let her out. I work with someone that had this exact same problem and she is saying that hers is getting better and is holding it in the crate. Her puppy is now about 8 months old and just started getting better. I'm just holding out hope that in time it will get better. We have to keep in mind that because the yorkies are so small--so are their bladders. My vet said don't expect much until they are a year old.
Good luck to us! |
