I hope that one day they will truly crack down on the people that own and breed these dogs and make sure that it is being done properly so that they dogs don't turn out to be dangerous, through no fault of their own. I wouldn't think owners/breeders would object to this if they really LOVE the breed. If you are ethical, what do you have to hide, right?
My personal opinion, if they were treated like guns...dangerous, deadly weapons, cause c'mon face it, they ARE in the wrong hands...and you had to have a permit to own a pit, rot, etc. Maybe that would help? I don't know....just my 2 cents. |
Good post...I agree
I think all breeds that are trained to protect and guard should be forced to provide a Certificate indicating they have gone through an approved Professional Training Program and undergone an aggression test., before they can be kept in a private home or business....with a $1,000 fine and removal of the pet should they not be able to provide it.
Come to think of it...maybe ALL breeds should require certification...it might help weed out irresponsible pet owners.
