I know how you feel - but you'll get over it.....

I lost two cats and the favorite dog of my life last year (within six months). This left me with one dog - my Bichon.

So - I got a bird - and I was afraid to death that it was just "going to die" from something. I checked on it 10 times a night the first week I had it - and it did just fine - so I got over worrying about my bird.

Then, I got a little Yorkie - and, of course, you read and horror stories about little Yorkie pups and all their problems - so I worried and watched him night and day for the first couple weeks I had him. Well - he has done just fine. Granted, like all pups, he has had runny stools a couple times and has thrown up a couple times - but nothing that was ever anything at all. He's as healthy as a dog can be. So now I no longer worry about him.

I lost so many animals in such a short period of time - that for a while I was just afraid that something else was going to happen. But - it didn't.

Now we play and have fun. We don't worry anymore. We pee on the floor and poop on the carpet and chew things we shouldn't from time to time....... but that's life - right!

Good luck -
