I hope this isn't a stupid question, I've never owned a female dog before. I have noticed lately, Layla has been licking at herself down there a lot... I was just getting ready to go out and I was throwing a toy for her while I was doing my hair and she wouldn't even look up, so I moved her head and I noticed she is super red and swollen around that area. I wiped it with a doggy wipe, and it just felt like a big swollen ball. She's 8 months old now, and I was planning on getting her spayed next week. Could this be her going into heat? I really don't know what's happening and I'm kind of worried
