Welcome to YT! I am so sorry that Toby passed away. As far you being neurotic you can count me into that club as well. I totally understand what you are saying about any strange move they make you want to take them to the vet. Honestly Georgie has been to the vet more in the first 5 months than most dogs in a lifetime. If he had diarrhea I take him to the vet if he threw up once I take him to the vet. The only thing that I will tell you is that I found myself worrying more about him than enjoying him in my life. When I realized that I started to change now when he coughs I don't call the vet or when I find him eating a stick I don't freak out because he could choke.Or when he jumps off the couch I don't run over to him and check his legs and paws unless he seems to be hurt (which by the way we have doggy steps I think he is just a daredevil LOL). I am still cautious but I make sure that my caution doesn't interfer with my precious time with him. Post some pics of Lizzy we would love to see her
