I dont think I'd use the nappy idea - it did take till he was about 5 months old to be fully trained. He has the run of the downstairs of the house when we go out ie. kitchen and living room. And when we're out we leave a potty pad at the back door - but when we're in - he goes outside. We havent had any accident for a while (touch wood).
