From what I have heard - Many (not all) of the top breeders were breeding for higher leg length since they show better - can be seen better in the ring. They are trying for a more elegant dog. Just what I heard. So your observations are right. I have noticed that too. But at the Atlanta show - I surprise to see them smaller.
