We have a choc lab that is 6 years old. I couldn't ask for a dog any better around my little ones than her. She is wonderful and Wyatt is all in her face the minute he walks out the door.
I would just keep an eye on them for a few days to see how well they will get along. I don't think that you will have anything to worry about.
