Well I went out and bought a small cage for my little monster... I really am amazed that she is trying to use her leg as much as she is when she is standing... But, I'll see her use it, then she abruptly sits down on her bum and has a look of pain on her face... I hope that this a normal reaction, I have never dealt with LP surgery or recovery, what to look for and how they act when in pain...
I too am keeping the pain med's at a minimum so that the pain is not masked and she thinks she can do more than she should... The cage is a good size for her she has plenty of room to move around, stretch out and lay down but she is not able stand up on those back legs... like I saw her to earlier, or try to run back and forth....
