When Sophie had the surgery she slep a lot. I did not confine her, she knew what she could do. We also have a 6 month old yorkie name winston and he would want to play but he figure out soon that sophie did not want to, so they gave each other a lot of kisses and winston would sleep with sophie. Winston even adjusted and realized that things will be different for awhile. Is Jazz on any pain meds? Sophie was on it for two weeks. She was suppose to be on it for only a week if needed but then I notice when she was peeing it had some blood in it. The doctor said it was not a urine infection but said that the pain meds were a anti-imflamatory med also and that it was good to keep her on it to help the body heal. Another thing I wanted to mention was that I thought sophie was licking her stitches but the doctor said it was ok for her to lick around it. And sure enough that was what she was doing. She always left her stitches alone. Sherry
