Now after having my son I have maybe twenty pounds that I want to get rid of. I am a very busy person and always doing something which is part of the problem. I eat a bit late at times and I know that is a no-no. It's also hard to lose weight and eat right because of the goodies and things that the kids want to eat. I started out at a size four on a bad day and now am about a size eight or so. I am currently 5 ft 6 inches or so and about 145 lbs. I need help changing how I do things and losing weight. I would appreciate any help and cheering on I can get. Ideally I would like to get back to 125 lbs or so. The weather is getting better so I will be trying to take that nice afternoon walk with my kids like I usually do.
I think the biggest thing is realizing that I have to watch what I eat now. Plus I do know that as you get older and have more children your metabolism slows down more. I am not sure but a few people have told me that post tubal ligation you can put on some weight. I had my tubes tied in November of 05 and I can say that I probably have about five pounds after that as well.

Sorry I did not see your post before now! You know, I was just like you. But I turned 30, quit smoking and had a partial hysterectomy all the same year. I gained weight pretty slowly and am now about 25 pounds heavier 16 years later. I know a part of that is age but I don't move around enough. I think for you at your age, you will see vast improvement in watching what you eat and getting a little more exercise. I know it is hard to eat all the right things when you are raising 3 children...you tend to eat what they want to eat. But no better time to start them off making healthy eating choices as well. Make it fun and healthy for them at the same time. I am not the Guru that Glad is

but I am sure she would agree with me!
