It sounds like we have all heard (and may have tried) all the same things... what I have noticed is that Shasta sleeps better at night on Saturday and Sunday nights, most likely that is when I am around the most and she spends less time in the kennel. I have put her in another room and check on her a couple of times a night, I do have the wind up clock next to her, it does seem to have calmed her down a bit. She does get a bit upset at night if she has piddled or pooed in her kennel, like last night (tried a different pup food from the vet).
As for Shasta sleeping with me... no, not until she is potty trained, then she will be more than welcome! Dad always told me to be careful I might end up with a daughter like me... little did he know ;-)
