I think part of the problem is that my dad just retired this past month and doesn't have anything to do but find things to gripe about...my dog, my mom, my mom's cooking, my mom's LACK of cooking, his loud grandkids, etc. He seems unhappy and is just looking for things to be more unhappy about. My brother in law said the same thing and he and I don't usually have the same point of view.
I do hope my dad lightens up. Zoie is in the shade here most of the time (trees and a covered porch) It's windy here ALL the time, so there is always a breeze. And she comes inside for several naps a day as well as ALL night. I've had little dogs before and I make sure she has fresh water.
As my dad finds things to do outside the house, we bring her in to play!!!
