Unfortunately that just doesn't work with yorkie puppies..the theory that if they get hungry, they'll eat. When blood sugar drops from not eating, the body goes into a ketotonic state where it tells its self it's not hungry (how starvation diets work for a while..lol) and once you get to that point, they won't eat even if they should be hungry. Other breeds you can get away with being a stickler, and making them eat what you give them, they don't fall out in a matter of hours from sugar drops. My suggestion, Dick Van Pattens ROLLS...I haven't met a dog yet who wouldn't gobble them up. I put mine in the food processer in bulk, then put it in the freezer, and scoop out about 1/8 cup on everyone's dry food, throw in their supplements, stir it up, and VOILA..dinner is served.
