I'm sure it will all go smoothly. A few tips: get the pre-op blood tests done to rule out any problems prior to the op; get the vet to give a post op pain injection-they don't all do this unless you ask,but can assume the pain meds in the anesthetic is enough; buy one of those strange collars like a plastic bucket in case she bites at her stitches--my wee girl did and I had to make a quick trip back.
No food from 7pm the night before. You won't be able to bath her until the stitches are out,so give her a bath the day before. My Holly was very sleepy for a couple of days. Give the vet some of her usual kibble-mine wanted to see her eating before she left her. You might want to give the vet her usual blanket--just washed of course. Also make sure her flea treatment is up to date ,in case she picks anything up at the vets,as you won't be able to treat afterwards until the stitches are out.
I found the anticipation much worse than the event, which went beautifully. Now no worries about heat etc. Good luck with it all and keep us posted.
