The best thing you can do with the vacuum is take it slow with them. We usually put our vacuums away when we are done. After im done vacuuming, I just leave mine out in different places so they can go up, sniff and get used to them. Its alot easier that way and becomes part of the scenery. Then, turn it on and off all day, but not to spook them when they are right besides it. Then just let it run without moving it for a minute. It takes time, but in the long run, theyll just get out of the way instead of head for the hills!!
