I've got to ask that same question, HOW is it cruel? It's actually a pretty darn simple procedure, most of my boys have come back w/ surgical glue even rather than stitches, a few glances in that direction as a farewell I suppose and they go on back to normal life..LOL

Cruel to me (not saying you'd let this happen with him) is the thousands and thousands of unwanted, unloved, neglected, starving, abandoned puppies and dogs in this world that will only see their fate change in death. Had their "producers" (not calling them breeders!) only spayed/neutered their animals, they would never even be here to suffer...IMHO, THAT is cruel. It just takes one time to get loose, and meet up with some stray "pretty girl dog" to produce some pups that are going to have a terrible existance, had the male only been neutered (and the female spayed!) that would have never happened.
