I am at my wits end already with Dixie. As some know already, I can't find any place at night (except in my arms) that Dixie is happy with. We've tried three different kinds of crate, we've tried all three of our bathrooms...and she still whines, nonstop, all night long!! I am so confused. Yogi never did this. I am so worried because my husband said that if she keeps this up, she is going to have to go back to the breeder
!! He has to work and he isn't getting any sleep, neither are my children.
I have been thinking and thinking and thinking...Trying to figure out what is the reason....So here's what I've come up with and wanted to get your experienced opinions.
Yogi was almost 12 weeks when we got him. He whined the first night in his crate, so we put him in the bathroom and he was fine. So we gradually transitioned him from there, to his crate and now he's wonderful.
Dixie just turned 8 weeks on Tuesday. I got her the Monday before. We can't put her in anything or anywhere, and have her be quiet, only my arms or somebody elses arms. We've even tried putting Yogi and Dixie in the same crate, Dixie is okay for a little bit, but then gets upset and so does Yogi. He wants OUT!
Do you all think that it could be her age that is the problem here? I know she is very young to have left her mother, but I also know that there are other pups that have left their moms at this age and have been fine. But do you think that the difference between these two, could be that she is so much younger than Yogi? If it is, what should I do? Should I just give in and put her in bed with me, until she gets a little older?
HELP!!
