My mom's yorkie (Rocky) was from a pet store. We were lucky with him... He is in perfect health and just the smartest sweet dog ever... He is a big yorkie though at 9lbs. but it really doesn't make a difference to us, we love him jsut the same.

We wern't as lucky with our 1st. puppy we bought from a pet store..... We bought a mini. long hair dapple dauchsund (Hunter) He was the most awsome dog.... He would switch nights between sleeping with my mom and step dad and me.... One day we came home and he couldn't move.... we rushed him to the vet and he was paralized from the waist down.... We had surgery done on him to see if it could correct it but it didn't work, and after the surgery the vet just happend to tell us that he had a disc deteriating disease and even if he would get better for a while, his discs would eventually diteriate and it would be untreatable......

We now know that the disease is passed down from the parents and if it would have been a good breeder then we would not have got a pup with that problem b/c it is something you test the parents for..... (like LP and LS)
