Hello I have a problem. We started out training Rocky to be litter trained. All was well in the world. He got it after a while and life was wonderful
Then Rocky decided that he did not want to use the litter box to pee in?????????
We do not know why. Sometimes he will and sometimes he won't. You are in the room that the litter box is in and playing with him and sometimes he pees on the floor and sometimes he pees in the litter box. This happens when we are playing with him or not giving him attention or not. There is no rhyme or reason to it. He can do good for days then say hello to the floor or pee on the floor for days then trot in to the litter box. We put him in there first thing after getting him out of his kennel, after eating, after exercise. We give him treats when he does it right. We tell him no when he does it wrong.
We are at our wits end and my wife who is not a big dog fan to begin with (though she does love Rocky) is about at the end of her rope. She says that we had better figure it out soon or else we will have to get rid of the little guy. He is about 5 1/2 months old and because of a hernia he has already been fixed. PLEASE someone help us.
