I think that will work out fine. Especiallys since your guy is only 5 months he will be fine accepting another and she will be open since your family will all be new anyway. I was worried about my 3 yr old Lucy with my new 9 month old Milo -since Lucy had been annoyed before with other young male dogs..but she must have known that he is a newbie and needs TLC, because he has adjusted very well to her and she has actually been very nice to him. Ofcourse the only thing is that he always wants to hump her...LOL.
