I have had 4 Yorkies throughout my life. My first Karma weighed 18 lbs and had floppy ears never grew coat, I loved him. Second one Zorro was 7 lbs not a very healthy dog but lived to almost 13, loved him. 3 rd one Gracie was 5-6 lbs and died at 6 1/2, loved her. After Gracie died my husband and dtr wanted a Pom so thye got one from a pet store, I was still mourning Gracie and said do whatever. Maya was suppossed to weugh 4-7 lbs weighs 12 1/2, love her. When I went to get Cali I just liked the conversation I had with the breeder and we went to see her, fell in love she was tiny but so were all of my dogs at that age. So I llove all my dogs regardless of size but I did want one to be within the standard, had she gotten bigger no problem but I did prefer she would stay within standard just my preference. I hope everyone feels like they can come here and ask questions no matter if some may think they have been answered before or are sick of reading them. That's what makes this such a great forum. I for one have had dogs my whole life and 4 Yorkies and I have learned more in my 9 months on YT then I ever did in all my 53 years. This is a learning experience for most people on here and a platform to educate about the breed. JMO |
