We too have started using the heartworm pills, my vet agreed that it would be best for the kids sake and we are using the one that kills also ringworms and hookworms, so that safe for the family with her living inside with us, no worms for the kids...lol.. No really when I was little my mom and dad got me a poodle and untredted for ringworm the dog passed it to me therefore I had to have laser treatments on my face for it to go away I was just 5 and they had to keep me out of school until cleared up I had several treatments and we had to get rid of the poodle.....I was scared about this with Ruby but the vet said to worm her and use heartworm pills she'll be fine and the family will be too! USE heartworm. !!!!
