I wonder what other breeders do to make sure ears are up.

My girl is exactly 5 months old today, and I am having a terrible time getting her ears to stay up. I tape for about 2 or 3 days but when I let them down they stay up for about a day or 2 and then down again. I've been doing this for 2 months now. I shave her ears, I message, etc. Should I leave them taped longer?? After about the 2nd day they start to itch her, that why 3 days is the longest I leave the tape in. Also, its mostly the tip of the ear,,it either flips forward or flips back. Any thoughts??
