Hi guys, I hope everyone had a great weekend.
I'm going to be taking home a puppy in the late August/early September time frame and am wondering how much of a "puppy savings" I should have.
I know how much I'll need for cute puppy stuff, food, etc., but not sure how much it will cost me to go to the vet for the first check up and all of that. I was thinking I'll put aside $400 or so bucks but am not sure if this is enough.
I'm in the process of moving and so am buying all sorts of cute stuff that I need for the new house, I would like to put aside the money now so I know the rest of my "fun money" can be spent on cute house and puppy stuff.
Can anyone give me a ballpark figure? How much did your new puppy cost you in the first few months of his/her life? How much was your first vet visit?
