When we brought Toto home, among the "stuff" that Ava sent was
Coat Handlers Clarifying Shampoo & Coat Handlers Conditioner [Leave In/Rinse Out]. We loved it, but you know how that goes .... read all the raves about every shampoo used by our members ...
had to try it!! I have read this entire thread so I won't repeat what's already been said. I think there are only a couple mentioned here that we haven't tried!
I always, always go back to our trusty Coat Handlers!
It's great and Toto's coat is always shiny and the clarifying shampoo makes her gold look like a deep, healthy gold. Her hair is very cottony & when we had the "show coat" for so long, the CH made it easier to maintain and the black was always so shiny. Since we had about 10-11" of her hair cut [we left her face hair & topknot ... just shortened it a tad] for the first time in her life, I can actually use a comb on her body hair!!
She is so much easier to groom and the drying time is unbelievable. Also, we have never, ever had a problem with her skin and she probably hasn't scratched a dozen times in her entire life! So ..... I would have to say that the CH is what we will always use!!
The only other thing I use is Bio Groom Silk Creme Rinse and only rarely use that .... just want a little different texture/smell sometimes. It works well and makes her hair very soft and clean smelling!
When I realized that Toto's closet was full & began "re-organization", I realized that an entire shelf was full of all these "products"!
I cleaned it all out, boxed up all that shampoo, conditioner, etc. and took it over to my friend [UYR] and gave it to her. She always has extra Yorkies and as we all know, there are lots & lots of different coats! What doesn't work well on one will work well on another!
Are there any of our members who sell Coat Handlers?? I have always just ordered it online, but if we have someone who sells it, I would prefer to buy it from them!
