I am new to YorkieTalk and this is my first post. I am the proud momma to a yorkipoo who is tentativley named Buddy (we just got him today). The reason for my post is I was checking him out when I noticed some gunk (or so I thought) near his eye. I wet a q-tip to try to get it out but it wasnt budging. Well it was a tick
... I frieked out but I was able to remove it from his face. It was definitley a wood tick and I know they dont carry lyme disease but Im still a little worried. I checked him for any more and he looks ok. Im just a little skeeved out right now. Any advice/suggestions?
PS - I got him from a private breeder who did take the puppies out on her lawn to go potty and get some fresh air. Im guessing thats how he got it.
