Oh boy, these little furballs are something else!! I doesn't take long for them to make the connection or see patterns in our behaviors. I have taken to feeding Nikko when I get home from work and then taking him out for a poop walk. He loves going outside so much that when I say "Nikko eat your food" he'll eat one little pebble and rush right to the door and whine!! It is becoming a struggle to get him to eat in the evening because all he wants to do is go outside. But if I feed him after the walk, he'll poop in the house!!
My problem is similar to yours I guess, I have to figure out a way of not having him associate food with going outside.
