We rescued a herring out of our yard once...you know....the stork looking birds....let's just say...he wasn't real happy about the rescue...not at all.
We chased a momma duck all over the place...trying to
help her get to the river behind the house (she was walking them in the
middle of the
street 
) Thought...oh we'll catch her and the babies will follow. After two hours of chasing
her....we
learned if you catch their babies...
momma will follow you.
