A prong collar is what some people call a pincher collar. It is made out of prongs and when you pull it like a choker it will pinch your dog's neck. Of course they put plastic tips on it so that it does not really dig in to your dog, but still it is what it is. I have used them on some big dogs, but I would never in a million years use them on a small dog. I have seen owners who used them on small dogs, they seem to yelp and scream
and yorkies have soft vocal cords which could damage them by using this, while the bigger dogs adjust well to the collar and tend not to yelp or anything.
