Our bigger dog, Sandy once was being teased by my son and two of his friends. They thought they were just playing with her, but she didn't find it funny. I got onto all three of them. My son felt really bad and wanted to make Sandy like his friend again, so he took her food, and had the boy take it to give to her.

As you can imagine, Sandy was NOT happy about him now having her food, she thought he was teasing her again. So, she snapped at him and it left a small scratch on his leg. Long story short, I had to call the mom and explain what happened, she was not pleased at all.
Fast forward a few months and I'll be darned if that same boy and the other boy are not throwing snow balls at Sandy. I hit the roof again, sent them home and made calls to parents. The mother of the boy who had been snapped at was so mad at her son. She suggested we all line up while we throw snow balls at them and let Sandy watch! It was funny. I was just glad that she understood Sandy's point of view and took it seriously.
They boys are better about not teasing her anymore. They all love her, they just forget to play nice sometimes. Sandy had no problem reminding them either!!!
