In a true lion clip the hair on the neck and front shoulders are left. I have my maltese in a modified lion clip. I shaved her neck though. I don't have any pictures developed yet of it. I will try to get some on here though. I really like the clip. It looks like they are in full coat when they have clothes on. My husband told me not to do the yorkie he wasn't thrilled with the cut. He was very unhappy with me for doing the maltese. I figured I'm the one that brushes and bathes the dogs so I should do what I want with the hair. The maltese does not like baths and hates to be brushed so I figured this clip is easiest for the both of us.
