I think that there is a lot of environmental pollution and that this may be directly linked to certain types of cancers. My bf has two friends who grew up in the same neighborhood. Their fathers were both healthy and young and both died from the same rare intestinal cancer. I think that this is something worth looking into. There is so much pollution and it has to affect us in some way.
As for organic food, my girlfriend (a farm girl) once told me that they have organic farms right next to non-organic farms. She says they end up with the same pesticides due to runoff. Gets me thinking?
