As reading this thread, I was wondering the same thing you were, Sherry Lynn! It DID sound like it from what that one thread said. Yikes! Maddie's only scooted her butt when she's had diarrhea and trying to get the yucky off herself! I had the vet express hers once and there was hardly anything there, so he figures she's one that won't be needing that done.
A groomer once told me, if you notice a poop that seems to be incased in slime and mucous at the beginning of the poop, that they expressed the anal glands themselves. Ewwww!
