Symptoms can be very mild...sleepy....missing a feed...(like totally uninterested in you even fixing something)....a bit wobbly (which can be mistaken for clumsy walking on slick floors)...just not as energetic or active.
Or the symptoms can be sudden and quite severe...non-responsive......shaking.....pale gums......even to seizures!
I just watch and watch...if in doubt I just give a dose of nutrical or sugar-water or try to push something like baby apple juice with a pinch of sugar added. Getting and keeping them warm helps, too. Cold is certainly a stress on little ones. |
