This is a little trick I tell my new puppy families, hang a bell (like a large jingle bell) from a string on your back door knob. Everytime you take the pup out make him hit the bell with his paw before you take him out, and before you know it you will hear the bell tinkling and see him standing there waiting to go. Go nuts with the praise. Try it. Good luck.
