You said it! I try to never let my small dogs be alone in the yard even if it is fenced in. They're usually accompanied by our Shelty/Collie mix who's pretty vocal if someone comes around (has a loud, scary bark). Both parties I bought my Chihuahua and Yorkie from had at least one large dog to guard the little ones. Seems like a smart idea!
