it didn't work with bunjee. i tried holding him until he feel asleep and place him in the crate, but as soon as he's in the crate he bounces up. as soon as i leave his line of sight he'd start crying.
in general the first few weeks of having a puppy is hard. they have bad separation anexiety and feels abandoned when they can't see you. at night, try placing his crate near your bed so that he knows you're there. in the day, try placing the crate in a high traffic area, so again, he knows you're around. all other times, ignore until he quiets down then give him attention. let him learn that whining and crying will not get attention. only good quiet puppies get attention.
