 Thinking of having a pet 1st time
I'm a middle-aged single woman who has never had a pet. I've raised 2 kids, if that counts. I'm at the point in my life where I would like to have a pet for a companion. I've been doing some homework on different breeds and I think a Yorkie would be the best companion for me. Because I work full-time, I wouldn't be able to train a puppy. I also think it might be best if at least one of us knew the ropes. I'm hoping to privately adopt an adult Yorkie (male or female is fine with me) that has been housebroken (and hopefully has some obedience training). We can go to obedience school, so that's not really an issue. I live in Southern California and would like to find a dog within 3 hours drive of LAX.
Any ideas or suggestions for me? I need all the help I can get! Thanks!
