The greatest thing that has happened as far as potty training my pup is that he has simply gotten older and pees less frequently.

My pup is 9 months old now - and if I take him outside every two hours or so, he never pees in the house.

He even often goes for 6 or 7 hours while I'm at work now without peeing (he is confined to the kitchen and laundry room area). This is good because potty pads don't work in my house. I don't know why I even put one down for him. He just shreds it and rips it into a million pieces. .... it's just another toy as far as he's concerned.

And - fortunately, he has always been good about not peeing during the night. But, the moment he wakes up - I get him outside. If I don't take him outside - forget it - he'll pee anywhere.

-----------

I still put a belly band on him at night - when we go visiting - and when he may not get outside every two hours or so. But, these are beginning to stay dry for hours now.

****** So - if nothing else works - just getting older does help a lot - as does getting your pup outside often.

I am so thankful summer is here. It is such a help as far as getting these little guys outside more often.
