Yes, the name is American Kennel Club, but it is still a registery. You do not join it, you register your dogs with them so that you can show in the exhibitions they hold. You are not a member of the AKC, you have an AKC registered dog. You can join a breed club, or a local kennel club, these are not registeries. |
